Beeswax wrap FAQs

How do beeswax wraps work?

The warmth of your hands softens the wax so the wrap moulds around food or the rim of a bowl. As it cools, it holds its shape and creates a breathable seal that helps food stay fresh.

How do I clean my beeswax wraps?

Rinse in cool water with a little mild soap and hang or lay flat to dry. Avoid hot water, the dishwasher and the microwave, as heat melts the wax.

How long do beeswax wraps last?

With regular use and good care, around a year. When they lose their grip, bring them back to life with our Refresh Drops or Repair Wax Bar.

What can I wrap?

Fruit, veg, herbs, cheese, bread, sandwiches, snacks and leftovers, or use them to cover bowls. We don't recommend them for raw meat or fish, or for hot food.

Are beeswax wraps compostable?

Yes. At the end of their life, cut them into strips and add them to your compost or use them as a natural fire starter.
